Maersk and CMA jointly launch new routes.

Recently, Maersk and CMA jointly launched ASAS2/SEAS3, a new route from Asia to the east coast of South America.


Maersk said that the new route will complement the existing ASAS route service, further improving the service network coverage, connection efficiency and schedule frequency. Dafei emphasized that the opening of this new route aims to respond to the changes in regional market demand, which demonstrates the firm commitment of the company to provide quality services to customers and help business development.


It is reported that the new route will invest 11 container ships with a capacity between 5,000 and 8000TEU, of which 7 are operated by CMA and 4 by Maersk.


The maiden voyage of this route is scheduled to start from Shanghai on April 9th, and the maiden voyage ship is "CMA CGM NANSHA". The port of call of the route is: Shanghai-Shekou-Toudun-Singapore-Santos-Singapore-Shanghai, forming a complete shipping loop.


The main advantages of the new route are as follows:


Operational reliability:It is jointly operated by Maersk and CMA, two major shipping giants, providing regular weekly services. Specially set a voyage buffer time of more than 20%, which significantly improves the punctuality rate of the ship schedule and ensures the stability of transportation timeliness.


Service network optimization:Vietnam's Touton Port and China's Shekou Port are added as affiliated ports to further expand the service coverage and provide customers with more flexible and diversified logistics options.


Regional connectivity:Relying on Santos hub port, optimize the feeder network to major ports such as Victoria Port and Rio de Janeiro Port to achieve more efficient regional logistics connection.


Capacity configuration upgrade:Encrypt the flights from Shanghai to Santos, effectively cope with the growing demand for trade and transportation, and provide customers with more competitive logistics solutions.
